Grants, financing and advise to help small businesses survive the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis

We’re entrepreneurs just like you. We know that we’re living in uncertain times. Small Businesses all over the world have been affected by the COVID-19 virus and are facing a new reality: adjusting sales forecasts, reassessing hiring plans, cutting expenses, rewriting strategies and even rethinking their business model.

We understand. This situation has challenged us in many ways, but with resiliency, we are sure we’ll come out of this with many takeaways to get stronger.

Without any further ado, here is a list of what 3 great organizations are doing to help small businesses navigate through the turmoil with grants, financing or advise.

The Founders Fund

The Founders Fund has committed to sponsoring one new membership every day until April 1st.

The Founders Fund is Canada’s first online accelerator supporting women identifying entrepreneurs during every stage of their journey.

Membership Benefits

  • Over 20 hours of recorded sessions led by experienced mentors like Komal Minhas and Harley Finkelstein

  • An incredible community of over 350 members connecting with each other directly to offer support and resources

  • Over $50,000+ in funding available over the next few months.

How to enter

To enter for the opportunity for a complimentary Founders Fund membership, they are asking for the following questions to be answered and submitted to hello@foundersfund.ca, subject line: Resiliency:

1. How has the COVID-19 virus impacted your business?

2. How are you practicing resiliency during this time?

They will be selecting an entry at random once a day and contacting the new members directly.

Facebook

Facebook is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries where they operate, as a way of financial support to enable small business owners to keep your workforce going strong, help with your rent costs, cover operational costs and more…

Businesses do not need to be on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp to apply.

Next steps

Facebook will begin taking applications in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can sign up to receive more information when it becomes available.

BDC

BDC is offering support for entrepreneurs impacted by the coronavirus COVID-19 by increasing the amount of financing available as the situation develops.

Financing options

Working to keep you and your people safe is and should always be the priority, but we hope that these resources somehow help you aid your business.

Google

Google will provide $340 million in Google Ads credits to all SMBs with active accounts over the past year.
Credit notifications will be available in their Google Ads accounts and can be used at any point until the end of 2020 across their advertising platforms. Here’s more info. on Google’s covid-19 response.
